Anyone seen this before? Looks really interesting. Basically it's a backpack that converts to a tarp shelter (RuckShelter).

Clever, but I can't picture a situation in which I would actually use one.

For dayhiking in the event of an unplanned overnighter?

But I thought it was very interesting to see him take it INSIDE OUT OF THE WIND to do the origami conversion to a daypack. Seriously, how hard to impossible would that be to do on a windy day?

If the backpack had a capacity of 30+L I think that would be very appealing. Being able to use the fabric of the tarp/tent into a backpack could be a great weight saver.
