Hi, I run the Plastimake website, but I'm also a regular hiker. I have about 50g of Plastimake packed in my set of default hiking gear. It has come in handy on several expeditions for general fixes and repairs.
I heat it up in water on my Trangia, quick and easy.
My favourite use so far has been the creation of makeshift fishing rods by moulding Plastimake eyelets onto a found branch. It means I don't have to pack a fishing rod, which is pretty cool.
