I made a door for my trailstar today.

It's 74g and made of Dynakote 75. Shock cord at the corners makes it nice and flexible. I think this will be very useful when the weather goes bad.

Thats were I saw the door too. I wanted to get a feel if the door would cut down on usable space and I think that it doesn't.

Looks great. Another excellent idea from ookworks. I am going to see if I can somehow adapt my zpack's cloud kilt to do the same thing. If not I will get one of these. Also have my eye on one of their fantastic inners.

Also wondering if something similar would work with the MLD cricket.

Very timely thread for me since I have been looking for something like this too! My previous plan was to adapt an MLD cuben poncho for this use. Might be possible

I might suggest a bit or reinforcement at the little gear hooks inside to take the stress and protect the main seam.

I would take a 2.5" dia circle of silnylon and bond it to the outside over the hook area. Just use SilNet as a glue. Then after it dries add a little zigzag / bartack stitch to the small ribbon holding the clip. Stitch it between the two main sewn lines of the seam so it puts the stress in the middle of the triple rolled seam.

Looks like you are already using small bungee to clip it all up.
