Pete, everyone should drop over to your link and have a look, it is well thought out.
I have found the ability to wash and dry my bike shorts to drive adding a pair of synthetic padded jockey style underwear, combined with a pair of nylon shorts I found I can continue riding while the laundry dries on the bike.I cannot ride in salt and sweat encrusted shorts for very long before I have issues better left undescribed, I do also take a bit of chamois cream.
