3/8" EVA 2lb Closed Cell Foam on 03/15/2012 09:40:03 MDT Print View

I am cleaning up my workshop to make some more room. I have 10 extra rolls of 3/8" EVA 2lb Closed Cell Foam that I would like to sell since its taking up alot of space. Each roll measures 24" wide x 76" long and is similar to the FY20 foam OWFinc sells. I doubt its same stuff since this foam came from a local foam distributor and was pretty expensive considering I purchased it in bulk and at wholesale. ($10.00 sheet 24"x76") I do know that is has 18% EVA which is the same as Evazote. In any event, I already wrapped the rolls up into USPS Priority Mail Envelopes and they cost $7.50 each to ship so I would like to get $17.50 for each roll. As I said above the only reason I am selling the extra rolls is to clear some space so if anyone wants foam for making your own packs, sleeping pads, sit pads, etc.. Its great stuff..

Hi Lawson,

What does a roll weigh?

I didn't realize this when I cut and packaged them or else I would of trimmed 1" off to get them under 13oz so they could of shipped USPS First Class Mail.

Are these the pads that you thought would have a >3 r-value from another thread?

This is 2Lb bun foam that has been skived so its like Evazote. The pad foam is from a different manufacturer and is 1.2lb roll foam that has a skin for added durability. This foam can be used as a pad and has a good R-Rating (probably similar to Evazote) but I am not really sure of the specific R-number since I planned to use it for shoulder straps and hip belts on packs..

in tandem with Neoair? on 03/15/2012 18:14:05 MDT Print View

Hey Lawson,

I picked up two large Neoairs (77 x 25 inches) off of Backcountry a while back and have been looking for a CCF to use underneath them when I'm nervous about punctures. It's been tough finding a CCF pad that meets the large's dimensions, but it looks like yours will fit the bill. Do you think that your pads would do well in this role? I don't have a whole lot of expertise when it comes to CCF pads, so I'll trust your opinion on them.

If you think they would keep my Neoairs puncture-free, I'll take two.

Thanks!

He must be busy with something else. I was ahead of you in the list and haven't heard anything from him. (Edit - he is responding now.)

PM's Sent. A few people said they wanted a roll without posting on the thread so the people who posted get first dibs and the people who didn't are next in line if any sales fall through.

Thanks,
Lawson
