Ok...when they say 'unsupported', do they mean no mail drops or stopping in towns along the way? As in carrying ALL of their food for the entire trip?

basically ... yes.

mail drops, any caches, stopping at towns = selfsupported
yet another category.

Does anyone know where to find "self supported" records of trails? JMT, AT, CT, CDT, PCT?
