Thanks for explaining how you find your secret places, it seems obvious once you point it out, but that is exactly the kind of thing that I love hearing.

That technique will be getting utilized by me here in the cascades. :)

Nice Nick,

I like the way you describe and experience the outdoors. It reminds me of my youth when we would grab stuff and sleep outside. No gear lists or temp ratings or denier counts. When I could drive I found myself getting gas and driving as far as my '83 honda hatchback would take me down dirty desert roads, finding interesting places I never knew existed.

Some of that wanderlust has been lost in the years.
