EDIT: Sold!
I'd like to sell my Tarptent Contrail. I bought it used here on the forums about eight months ago - the previous owner seam-sealed it. I do not know how many nights he used it, but it does not look like very many. I've only used it 4 nights myself and would guess it has between 6 and 12 nights of use total. It has never seen rain during the times I've used it. The tent is in good condition - no rips or tears - but the outside is a little dusty (see pictures - an artifact of living in a dry climate); the floor is pretty clean though.
In order to help remedy the sagging silnylon issue, I removed all the linelocs from the tent and added in shock-cord connected to guylines. You can see in the pictures that if the shockcord is stretched past a certain point then the guyline takes the full tension. This was done to the main 4 corners of the tent. There is also an adjustable taut line hitch at each of the 4 corners of the tent as well as on the two ridgeline tie-outs. These changes reduced the weight a little and (IMO) make pitching it easier.
I do not have the stakes that came with this tent so I only have the tent and stuff sack to sell. The tent in its stuff sack weighs 25.40 oz. All in all, it's a great tent and its weight is tough to beat for the protection you get. I'm only selling it so I can get into MYOG so I might be interested in a partial trade related to materials, etc.
How about $130 shipped CONUS? Please send me an e-mail at johnnyh88@gmail.com if you have any questions!
