WTB: Synthetic sleeping bag or quilt on 03/03/2012 13:53:29 MST Print View

So I'm going to be spending the spring/summer in the PNW and would like to pick up a synthetic bag or quilt. I'm looking for something that would be good to around 30ish degrees, like the montbell super spiral burrow #3 or a similar quilt from MLD, Enlightened equipment, etc. I want to stay at or under the 2 lb mark if possible.

If you have something that might work, shoot me a PM. Thanks!

in july/aug you likely dont need a synth bag in the PNW ...

in the shoulder seasons its not a bad idea ...

I was in Portland last summer (End of April through beginning of August) and the weather was pretty crappy through August. I spent most of my time up in Washington, and would just prefer the synthetic for peace of mind.

Still Looking!

I have one of the original Golite Synthetic quilts (the one with the wrap around shoulder and zip up foot wrap). It has been slept in perhaps once or twice and has been sitting in my closet for years (alway left out of a stuff bag!). I ended up making my own down quilt. If it can find a good home I'd sell it for $60 plus shipping.

Hi Tom! I sent you a PM with a few questions.

@Eric: Thanks for the heads up! E-OMC always has great deals. If the quilt doesn't work out I may have to snatch that up. I try to buy used gear when I can, but the temptation is strong...
