Does anyone know if the quilts that BPL sold in there gear shop are still available to buy somewhere else now that the shop is gone?

I don't think so. They do show up on Gear swap. As an alternative look at MLD or Enlightened Equipment.

Cant remember the name of the company that used to make them, but they were on the web.
That said they were extremely tight and had a very long footbox. Too long and too tight for me.

I MYOG a couple of quilts and its not that hard or MLD or Tim Marshall here can make one for you.

Thanks for the insight on the quilt guys. I really don't know that much about them they just seemed to fit my needs being synthetic insulation. I think I will try my hand at a DIY project. I was on the Nunatak site and the Arc Specialist stated that they made the bag for Ryan's Bozeman Mountain Works AKA BBL but it's a better design but $433 ouch!

If you decide not to go DIY route I've got an MLD Spirit 45 with eVent patches at head and foot that I thought I'd use, but it hasn't seemed to work out that way for me. I'd comment on it's performance... but I can't. It is a super lightweight synthetic quilt though. If you're interested shoot me a PM.

Also enlightened equipment has some really inexpensive but well made synthetic quilts too if you're interested.
