I know from my own use that the 15-inch Little Buck 2G saw is a great UL tool for trail and camp, but like many of you, I've been tempted to see how low I can go (weight-wise, that is).
So let me introduce my latest creation, the 2-in-1 Micro/Mini Buck Saw. It ships with 2 blades, which allow for two configurations: Micro Buck saw, and Mini Buck saw. Both are modeled on the super stable, windlass-tightened design of the Little Buck 2G saw, complete with custom alloy tubes and Spectra cord windlass.
In the Micro configuration, it uses a thin 12” pull saw blade that is very very light, and cuts dry wood well up to about 3” diameter. You could cut larger diameter wood with patience. The Micro configuration weighs a measly 1.85 ounces (no, that's not a typo!).
In the Mini configuration, it uses a more familiar-looking 12” buck saw blade that cuts dry, green, and moist wood well up to about 4” diameter. The Mini configuration weighs a measly 2.85 ounces. The blade is not the same ultra-high quality steel as the Little Buck 2G blades but still cuts pretty well.
If you are not sure which blade you might need, you can pack the saw with both blades and still add less than 3 ounces to your burden.
Just like the Little Buck 2G, the Micro/Mini Buck Saw has the option of a reinforced tyvek pouch with velcro closure to store and carry the saw easily in your pack or an outside pocket. The pouch adds a whopping 11 g to your load.

OK, so you know you want one, right? Just send $45 by PayPal to robkelly54 at gmail dot com, or $48 if you want me to include the tyvek pouch. Add $4 for international shipping outside the USA. If you don't want both blades, take $5 off and tell me which one you DO want.
