Can someone recommend a good bivy? Looking to use it in combination with my tarp? I looked into MLD but a 8 week wait is not for me..
So I'm looking for recommendationd
I'm currently using a TI Goat ptarmigan an it's a tad on the small side for winter trips an I don't know that I would get another ti bivy cause I know that lighter ones exist..

I have an MLD Alpine bivy I'm looking to sell. Would help you avoid the 8 week wait from MLD directly but probably more bivy than you're looking for if you're trying to go as light as possible.

It does make for a great winter bivy though and allows the flexibility to use it without a tarp on occasion.

I think I'm going to go with zpack to see joe will build me a custom bivy like mentioned above.. This way I it will be built to my specs.. Has anyone had zpacks build a bivy?

That is almost exactly what I was thinking! That it's a solid setup! how is the construction? think it will last a few years ?

Katabatic Gear is a cottage manufacturer north of Denver. They don't have a shop that you could visit that I am aware of.
