The other forums (e.g. Gear, MYOG, etc.) allow me to work on ounce reduction, solve technical problems, etc.

This Chaff forum allows me to forget those issues and breathe easier. I mostly come here to have fun.

Do you come here to breathe easier and have fun?

Nope. I go hiking /climbing, talk to friends, or just paint to 'breath easier'.

I come here to:

1. Answer questions.
2. See about hiking partners / conditions.
3. Pursue the gear swap form.

I'm with Chad on this one. While I always have a good time on BPL, I use it as a learning tool with social benefits-- and sometimes just a social outlet. I don't bother with other forums because I know I can get what I need here. I breathe easy when I know the answers to my gear and technique questions have been exhaustingly answered.

But I also totally understand where Daryl is coming from and think its cool.

Sorry for the confusion due to my edit. I wrote the original post in a hurry and when I reread it I realized I had done a terrible job of communicating.

Just had an idea for a practical joke. Post something like "Do you love baby animals?" After people respond, go back and edit the original post to say something like "Do you like child molesters?"

If any posters run for office you will be able to say something like "You won't believe how he answered when asked if he liked child molesters!"

Yup. Mostly to have fun, my breathing is fine. Of course, I have a habit of having fun in the other forums too, much to the exasperation of others.....

I've decided that going over to Whiteblaze is an amusing change from the threads here. I saw posted that a 65L pack was too small yesterday. Seems that place holds onto the past pretty tightly.

and some of my posts don't reflect if but I do appreciate this place.
