the season is soooo slow that BPLers need to hate on people with body artwork ... theyd much rather do that than go for a short hike on a weekend

Meh. At least it's a bit different than the ever present hating on yuppies and people who buy expensive gear..... ;-)

Besides, I didn't see any hating on people, just a distaste for tattoos by some, and an appreciation for them by others.

But honestly how often do you meet people who volunteer to have their crimes written upon them? Franz Kafka would reconsider burning his writings with a view into this crystal ball.

There has been a lot of misunderstanding on BPL of late. I just want to be clear here.
I am probably more heavily tattooed than most here. I don't want my pics to be thought of as "hating on". They were just meant to be funny. I respect anyone's decision to like or dis-like tattoos.

Sorry for any confusion or hurt feelings. Maybe if we could all just chill out like Mr. CooL ICE

I am not much of a tattoo guy, I don't have one, and I don't really care whether anyone else does. But there is a good reason for people to have at least one identifiable tattoo. I am trained in dental forensics, where we ID a dead person based upon the unique dental configuration. A very easy way to get a positive identification on a deceased person is if they have a distinct tattoo that a family member or friend recognizes. This of course implies that the tattoo wasn't destroyed somehow, such as a result of fire or an explosion. So, please help us out---get a tattoo, and provide your loved ones with a photo of it.

We could get a microchip like our pets.

I have never understood why someone would want a tattoo, but to each their own. Doesn't affect me one way or the other. I just put the money it costs into the bank or my gear closest :)

However I think Jerry A or Tom K might like to see me sent to prison, given my political views. Now a tattoo on my left buttock that reads "Exit" and one on the right reading "Only" but be good for that particular situation :)
