Mike Reid - nyah nyah nyah.... on 01/19/2012 17:16:12 MST Print View

Sorry dude, couldn't help myself. But guess what was waiting for me when I got home from work today? That's right! My new cuben Trailstar! Unfortunately, I get home after dark, so I can't play. But I'll set it up this weekend and get some pics! You know, so I can rub it in some more......

I thought my regular Trailstar was one of the best pieces of gear I have ever owned. Absolutely loved it! It was not the lightest, but perhaps the most versatile. I hope you enjoy your Trailstar as much as I.

What I like about this thread is that Mike is sleeping right now. We can say ANYTHING we want about him. And then we can edit our posts before he wakes. I love it.

Who wants to start first?

I will! Mike is such a ........... wait a second! You almost had me there David. I'll be sleeping when he wakes up! He'll see my post about how Scots can't read anyway so we don't have to edit our posts before I'll get a chance to edit it! You almost had me there...... Damn tricky Canadiens......

A Scot would need a huge pry bar to get their wallets open to willingly shell out money on a shelter.

How many Scotsmen does it take to change a light bulb? Scotsmen don't change light bulbs, it's cheaper to sit in the dark, save pennies, and buy a cuben Trailstar.

Franco's right! Thanks for setting me straight Franco!

My new Trailstar in the back yard a few moments ago. It's a bit windy here, and it was still fairly easy to set up. Loved Eugene's video on setting it up! I'll need to practice a bit more for a better pitch. Probably when it's light out..... ;-) And, you know, because I REALLY had to rub it in to Mike, yes, that's a glass of single malt (The Glenrothes, 1994) I'm enjoying under my new Trailstar!

That cuben looks less translucent than normal, unless it's just the lighting.

Doug,

Is that a candle lit dinner going on behind you in the dining room? It's safe to say she won't be calling you back.

Classy....real classy. ;-)

My wife calls me "interesting" sometimes... :P

Doug, I'm curious to hear how taut a pitch you're able to get...when the single malt wears off...

And I didn't realize Scots can't read. Huh. Ya learn something new every day!

Now that you've got it pitched, I assume that you're sleeping under it tonight!
