First let me say what an amazing resource this is, I have spent the last few days just reading old posts and learning so much!

Right on with my question.

I am currently trying to make a climbing crash mat (bouldering mat) and am struggling to know which thread I should use. I will be making the pads from 1000d cordura and I keep seeing the thread bonded nylon 69 cropping up. Now I am based in the uk and when ever I search for this I keep findind bonded nylon 40's or bonded nylon 60's, is this the same thing or is it totally different?

can anybody recommend what they thing would be a good thread considering the stresses it will face. I am sewing on an old singer 201k semi industrial machine if that helps.

Any advice appreciated.

Any heavy bonded nylon would be good.
