Dye my pack? on 01/16/2012 03:39:28 MST Print View

I have a tackle backpack that is blue and I want to dye it black? Not sure what it's made of but it's pretty sturdy and I'm also concerned about the zippers they are a plastic rubber mix and am worried that heat ( with a heated method ) would affect it. I need some good advice because I love and use my pack very much!!

Here is the information. Hot water will not harm your zippers.

You pack is probably made from nylon. If so, it will dye just fine. If the pack is sewn together with polyester thread, the thread will not accept the dye, and you'll end up having a black pack with blue stitching.
