Emigrant Wilderness - Stars, Lakes, Snow, and Trout on 01/10/2012 09:18:46 MST Print View

The meadows were lakes and 30% of the trails were covered in snow. The Emigrant looked like a land of lakes in late July 2011. I captured 8 gigs and put it into a short video: http://walkifornia.blogspot.com/LakeStarsTrouthttp://walkifornia.blogspot.com/

Emigrant with Snow on 01/11/2012 08:40:39 MST Print View

By the looks of this year's weather in California, you might want to get up there in late May to get a little snow. Seeing the Emigrant in transition is seeing Emigrant at its best. Pictures below:

It was really nice watching/listening to your trip video with my wife and cup of tea at the end of a long day. Thanks for sharing.
