Hi all,

I decided that I am going to sew a down quilt for next season. I've sewn a ton of bivys, tents, and a few synthetic sleeping bags, but never anything with down. I want this bag to be good to about ~20-25 degrees F, so this rules out a sewn thru quilt.
A few quick questions I had were, does anyone know of any good instructions on making a baffled quilt? I found these ones here http://thru-hiker.com/projects/down_quilt.php but the pictures are really small and I have a hard time following what exactly is going on with the baffles.
I am using M90 for both the shell and liner.
Does anyone know a good source for down? I remember a nice source posted here awhile back, but I can't find the link. The only one I know of is thru-hiker, but theres is quite pricey.

The first one is new and pretty cheap but they won't have down till mid February. I've made a couple down quilts before and I'm working on a new one and they're not that complicated. You could probably sew one without any real instructions. The dimensions are the big thing. Mine are 50" wide by 78" long and I'm 5' 8". They're slightly tapered at the feet but only by 5" on either side.
