Hi all,
I decided that I am going to sew a down quilt for next season. I've sewn a ton of bivys, tents, and a few synthetic sleeping bags, but never anything with down. I want this bag to be good to about ~20-25 degrees F, so this rules out a sewn thru quilt. A few quick questions I had were, does anyone know of any good instructions on making a baffled quilt? I found these ones here http://thru-hiker.com/projects/down_quilt.php but the pictures are really small and I have a hard time following what exactly is going on with the baffles. I am using M90 for both the shell and liner. Does anyone know a good source for down? I remember a nice source posted here awhile back, but I can't find the link. The only one I know of is thru-hiker, but theres is quite pricey. Thanks!
