Mojave Lobster? on 01/02/2012 20:44:37 MST Print View

Adan Lopez and I took our families car camping in Joshua Tree for New Year's weekend.
Never though I'd be eating lobster tails cooked on a campfire in the Mojave Desert...
You did it up homie.

From the thread title, I thought I was going see roasted scorpins.

But, cool. Nice menu planning.

At UC Berkeley's Hiking Club, we'd do two "Gourmet Trips" each year. There were rules, dress codes, and stupid human tricks. A friend brought live lobsters one time.

Looks really good. I'll have to try that. .. Two years ago I grilled shrimp up on Springer Mtn.

You guys are classy. I'm sure the time out in the Mojave was quality for both families; not a bad way to start the new calendar year.
