I received the Murmur. But my wife won't let me open it till Christmas. #%&(!!

But, gee, it is mine...Maybe she won't notice if I carfully repack it? Na...
But the tape is not that stuck...Maybe, I put it back after peeking? Na...
I am not THAT interested! ...Maybe if I carefully slit the packing with a razor blade? Na...

I was bad and could not wait. Took the new Hilleberg out over the weekend. Now I won't have anything to unwrap at Christmas.

It could be worse. My new shelter hasn't even been purchased yet! :-(

Our two sons split the cost of Dad's new Houdini which which technically isn't under the tree either. It will however arrive in time for Christmas with them. ;-)

I feel the same way about my new Mont Bell jacket that is laughing at me from under the tree... :)

My new gear is being kept hostage until Christmas as well but I need to use it NOW! Some of it has been used before I had to "surrender" it though.

I just pretend that finding the gear I like is complicated so no one even attempts and I can pick up as necessary.

My Tarptent Notch was just received at the office. It will stay in the box until Christmas Morning. In the meantime, I'll be in the bar.

Ha, ha... Travis, take the coal. Grind it up and use it as FUEL! Lots, better than wood. But, my question is, what "naughty" did you do to get a lump of coal?
