Jacket for travel on 12/13/2011 16:53:23 MST Print View

This isn't exactly outdoors related, but though I could get some good opinions here since I try to apply same light weight concepts to my travels as well...

I'm looking for a jacket to be worn while traveling, doing touristy things out and about places, expected temps to be worn in are 25 to 40, paired with Ibex Shak hoody.

Leaning towards Patagucci due to a couple of family-related factors...

P. S. Today, as a test, I wore MB Eldo paired with Shak around town, lots of standing around in a 37 degree weather and was bit chilly. The Montbell jacket does is fit on me so I attribute being cold to this.

I'd get a micropuff. That should keep you warm in those temps without looking overly techy. Primaloft feels a lot warmer to me than the exceloft in montbell.

Unfortunately, patagonia.com is sold out of Micropuffs in my size...
I see it elsewhere, but needs to be bought from Patagonia themselves to get the discount. Ugh...

Give them a call or just chat with them online. They might have one around if you ask.
