I emailed the company to ask for the weight and how that material compares to cuben and here's what they said:

"The Minimal Backpack weighs about 5.5 ounces and is made from the CTF3 line from Cubic Tech. Cuben Fiber is what they call their sailcloth line."

$pendy for sure, but looks sweet..

I dunno, the pack in that first photo looks like it weighs more than a few pounds... :)

Ahhh gotcha, thanks for the link; I google searched "outlier" for bpl.com before posting and only got a link to a thread re a shirt or something.

Will read thru that thread.

At least I added the weight to the conversation... :)
