Today I just purchased tI goats ptarmigan nice to go with my Kifaru para tarp... Kinda of an impulse but I think it should be an upgrade to my tyvek ground sheet... Oh well who knows... Soon to find out I guess

I haven't regretted my bivy. At times I feel the hood is a waste, but there have been a few times when I'll pull it partly over my head to reduce drafts.

Bivy plus tarp is a great pair! Each extends the range of the other. May you enjoy your combo as much as I enjoy mine!
