I would like to share a profound statement with this Chaff group.

Unfortunately I have no profound statement to share.

Do any of you have a profound statement that you would share with us?

John,

I haven't had enough beer to come up with a profound statement. Your's was closer to anything I could come up with and it made me laugh.

Thanks.

Daryl

At this time next year we will be electing a president. We will either re-elect the current one or elect a new one to replace him. There are two outcomes.

1. If the current one is re-elected his opponent will graciouslly accept defeat but all of his supporters will say its because the incoming "Scapegoat in Chief"...
pandered to special interest groups who don't represent the majority of Americans
made false promises to gullible people
cheated
Overstated his qualifications
Hid past misdeeds
His loss will further be blamed on the fact that all intelligent people stayed home because if they had voted how could we have elected such a moron. Dire predictions will be made about the feature of our republic and freedoms. Rumors of ballet irregularities will surface on the interntet. The defeated canidate will be blamed for not picking the right staff, focusing on the wrong states etc.

If you have kids and have heard "Party in the USA" more times than you care to count check out "Party in the CIA" by good ol Weird Al for an improved version, in the meantime some boys I know re-wrote Justin Bieber's hit

I know you love me..
But I don't care
Just call my house phone
I won't be there
And I will always, always break your heart
You're really ugly just like a bear
You're really shaggy so cut your hair

Best sung in the presence of teenage girls by little boys who can run fast when chased by annoyed teenage girls.

I'm having too much fun I need to get some sleep.

Operations Ajax & Success are prime examples of America's war against Democracy. Me wonders how many people know of the terms real politik or blowback

Eisenhower's policy making report from James Harold Doolittle. October 10, 1954
EisenhowerMemorial.org:

"It is now clear that we are facing an implacable enemy whose avowed objective is world domination by whatever means and at whatever cost. There are no rules in such a game. Hitherto acceptable norms of human conduct do not apply. If the United States is to survive, longstanding American concepts of `fair play' must be reconsidered. We must develop effective espionage and counterespionage services and must learn to subvert, sabotage and destroy our enemies by more clever, more sophisticated and more effective methods than those used against us"

Au Contraire! There are 11 kinds of people in this world... Those who understand binary numbers, those who don't and those that do and flaunt it.

It would certainly make the race and its outcome more interesting!!! Just imagine a Republican debate with all the participants dancing in tights! [Not trying to be partisan here, but since there are no Democratic debates currently....]
