Reps and Dems both agree that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac didn't deserve $13 million in executive bonuses.

Give me a minute. Deep breath. Speechless.

"Reps and Dems both agree that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac didn't deserve $13 million in executive bonuses."

Does this mean our deficit problems are solved?

Oh, I thought you were going to say it just snowed in Hell, California.

Maybe Congress should just put the the FM's to sleep forever along with a whole bunch of other agencies.

The "FM"s are the worst of public and private organizations

GNMA on the other hand, is totally government, pools mortgages and sells to investors, no deriviatives or anything, the executives aren't paid huge salaries, and doesn't have any financial problems

So, totally private banks and public/private FMs are problems, but totally government GNMA is the efficient way to provide capital to homeowners

We now own the FM's as we once did prior to them becoming government sponsored entities.

Ginnie Mae and FHA are next on the disaster list...

two questions: Hell just froze over on 11/04/2011 20:10:10 MDT Print View

Two questions:

1) Hell is frozen because the donkeys and pachyderms agreed on something? or is it because of what they agreed upon?

2) Is it intellectually honest to use that phrase (hell freezing) after the event happens? Seems to me we've only really earned the right to say it if we've done so beforehand.

Jim,

Seriously don't over analyze it. Just poking fun that the two parties agree on something. Nothing more. Geez
