Campsite Activities for the GGG on 11/04/2011 06:58:36 MDT Print View

Well everyone we are getting close to GGG time again!

I am looking for ideas on activities and games for us to keep busy in camp.

Burnoff, Gong the Equipment, etc...

Have any good ideas? Please share them here.

Nude Shelter-Set-Up Contest, like at the Trinity Alps trip.

Oh, wait. I wasn't supposed to mention that, was I?

My bad.

demos and clinics on 11/05/2011 08:03:51 MDT Print View

Have you guys considered doing mini skills clinics and demos? I'm sure there will be varying degrees of experience and background in the group. You could solicit volunteers to lead short "courses" throughout the weekend on skill sets like: firestarting methods and tips, backcountry cooking and baking, bear bagging, hammock hanging tips, layering systems, backpacking and photography basics, coffee making.

Obviously something like this would be a bit of an undertaking and require some planning, but it could be an additional draw for attendees.

I didn't realize you were joking. I should have looked up 'fresnel lens.' ......
