I was stumbling through the aisles in my local used book store the other evening and browsed through the "Outdoor" section to see what gems I may dig up in my aimless wandering. I discovered "Pleasure Packing". Best title for a book on the subject of backpacking hands down.

One guy, two pretty blonds.......
And autocorrect keeps wanting to change it to two pretty blinds, so I am letting it.

I was looking at the Intertubes before heading out in 15 minutes for a five day hike in the Presidential Range of the NH White Mountains. I've got my ipod, great food, pint of single malt Scotch, camera with three lenses, two pillows, Via coffee, down slippers, etc. etc. etc. I like to enjoy myself when I'm up there. Now if I could only get me some nice blond Sherpas.

the problem with sherpas on 10/28/2011 11:42:52 MDT Print View

The problem with blond sherpa[ni]s is they have a tendancy to play dumb and go on strike for more money at the sign of any perceived difficulty. This phenomenom has been documented quite extensively in multiple Southern California areas.
I'm afraid you will need my services as a liason officer and an 2 additional blond sherpani to carry my things also.
Also one must be certain you're recruiting authentic blond sherpanis as many other indigenous peoples have been known to impersonate them.
I would also warn you away from the quite rare red sherpani and the their legion of followers, The Clan of the Freckle Fetish D.O.M.

Hey, two pretty blind blonds isn't a bad deal either. I'd say the guy's got a pretty sweet thing going there. ;-)

Of course if you spell it blondes...

What do you call a brunette between two blondes? An interpreter.

...of the Three's Company theme song.

I know they are having crazy and wild hijinks in that book.

(I realize Three's Company had a blond and a brunette, but work with me here! :) )

The bottom photo (rear cover) cracks me up, the expression on the guy's face is priceless. I can just make out the wink to the camera.
