Bump, and if anyone is interested but doesn't like the prices, let me know. I could be talked down a bit...

I might be interested in the lynx on 10/20/2011 07:45:19 MDT Print View

But not at $500....

I understand you don't wanna just give something away rather have it collect dust and have it the few times you could use it rather than that. For me though $150 xtra bucks for anew one is well worth it.

How low are you willing to go? I do need a cold weather bag asap!!

Would $450 be any better for you? It's really in pristine shape, and I know the included compression bag will totally seal the deal ;)

Just off the top of my head, $200 off the new price is about 30%, which I think is as good as you'd ever get on sale for WM. If I'd had more use out of this bag, I'd be willing to go lower, but it's only been in the field for one trip and has been hanging up in my room ever since.

Let me know... and thanks for the reply.

I see you are from Maine!! on 10/20/2011 09:02:26 MDT Print View

I am from Mass, i am actually looking to move to Maine within the next year or two. What are your thoughts on this bag for New England? I am looking for something to get me through anything New England and mostly the Whites can throw at me. I plan to sleep out once a week this winter. It is either this bag or the Puma. I am more leaning towards the puma TBH?!

Hey Patrick...

I know Phil of Sectionhiker.com uses a Puma and really loves it. I slept out in the Lynx down to -20 or -30 last winter at Unknown Pond in the White Mountains and was mighty toasty (I also slept in my soft-shell pants and down jacket, and my down pants on the coldest night-- a little bit of a tight fit, but it was gloriously warm). I think this is one of those YMMV calls. I plan on "downgrading" to a slightly less warm sleeping bag than the Lynx, although I'm not sure which one yet.

Yeah.. on 10/20/2011 09:36:38 MDT Print View

I am bit nervous to over buy and have way too much bag than i need. Only having as much as i need is important as i hope to use only a 30L pack all winter.

I am thinking whatever bag a i choose combined with a 100 gram Primaloft One belay jacket and maybe a Nano Puff Hoody and BD Firstlight tent should get me down to some pretty cool temps. I wonder if i am willing to wear all that inside a bag could i get less bag as i need to carry those pieces anyway just for climbing?

If i decide on the Lynx i would do say and you want to sell it i would be willing to do say $350 if that is not enough i understand. For me though anything more and i would rather just have the brand new bag with that brand new smell reciepts and all..

I'll keep the offer of 450 up here for a few more days before I try ebay, then. For as little use as this bag has seen, I can't justify dropping the price that much.

One more bump before it's ebay time. I know someone must want some fluffy, high-quality down.
