Looking for any Lightweight Womens Down Jacket With Hood - S or XS (depending on what's the manufacturer's smallest).
I'm looking for something really light.
Does not have to be pristine.
Can do Paypal.
Thanks.

Thanks.
I've already checked out the jackets there but those in small do not have hoods.
By the way, I'm confused about all the different Montbell Jackets that look the same.
Also, what is the difference between Jacket and Parka.
I'm guessing Parka is longer?

Parka vs jacket on 10/06/2011 16:51:15 MDT Print View

I have an Alpine light jacket in mens M (the women's L was a tad small)
I have a Down Inner parka also in mens M (fits a little closer) but it has a hood.
So I'm not really comparing apples to apples because they are different models (but I did try on several different sizes) I would say if there is extra length in the Montbell Parkas, it is not something I notice.
I do like having the hood on the Down Inner, but for the Alpine Light I got one of Kats hat's and I've been nice and warm with that combo in colder weather.

MontBell parkas all have hoods, jackets don't

Ah I see.
I think some brands use parka to mean a longer jacket but I noticed that Montbell seems to have hoods on all their parkas and no hoods on jackets too.
Thanks for confirming that.

Just to complicate things, some companies will use the term "hooded jacket" when they could have called it a shell parka.

Bob is right, different manufacturers use different terms. I should have made clear that my earlier comment applied only to MontBell.

Not sure how light - but at $39 for 650-fill with lifetime warranty - can't be beat
