"Go Niners...time to be back where you belong as the best football org. ever!"

Come on Ken, we all know the best football organization ever is Green Bay! :-)

I will actually be cheering for the Niners today. Would love to see the Niners play Green Bay next weekend.

Rick, isn't it funny that we were talking about how this season will be a dismal one for me?? I would love a Packers-Niners Championship game!

Rugby for girls? on 01/14/2012 11:29:21 MST Print View

I thought this was a football thread. It seems to be about a cowardly US version of Rugby where the girls need to wear padding to protect their delicate bodies. ;)

Saints all the way.

Back in the day, before there was a Saints team, I started NFL fandom following the Pack, so the last two years at the Super Bowl have been pretty sweet.

Terrific playoff game. MVP should be shared between Davis and Sproles. Go Packers!

What a niners/n'orleans game! Seriously, for all it's flaws, a classic I think. I listened to most of it coming back from Tahoe--cut short my little dayhike just for this. Frankly, I wanted a Brees/Rodgers showdown; but I'm in the bay area (Berkeley)...and since Rodgers is a Cal graduate, well...but now Smith is a hero, coming into his own perhaps, with a hellish storyline behind...so in the year of clumsy quarterbacks whose teams win (Tebow) versus monster quarterbacks whose teams also win (Rodgers, Brees) and with Alex Smith muddling through, but growing perhaps...why, it's a veritable War and Peace of drama!

*ahem*... non-clumsy QB rolling over the ponies right now..

Gronk is a freaking beast.

GO PATS! :)

Hegel thought that Napoleon was God's agent on earth...so I guess that makes Tebow Napoleon...in Moscow!(Just to torture the war and peace metaphor).

NINERS NINERS NINERS NINERS NINERS NINERS NINERS NINERS NINERS NINERS NINERS NINERS

Those last two minutes of the game were some of the most amazing and gut wrenching football that I have seen since I became a 49ers fan back in 1969. The 'Stick was a rockin!

Common Giants...I want the magic to continue here in the Bay Area as opposed to Green Bay

One less worry for The Pats...

The Pats defense is porous at best. If (and IF) my Niners make it and so do The Pats I will really enjoy watching what happens

Pat's didn't play well... luckily the ravens weren't really full power either and their kicker got a major case of the shanks at the right time

Manning looked like he got dragged behind a truck after that game.. his O line let him get lit up

2 weeks to get ready.. hopefully the Pats rest up and get some revenge for "Circus catch"
