About 30 years ago I saw a picture of the Italian Dolomites in SKI Magazine. I was so impressed, that I can still see every detail in my mind. Always wanted to go there, but Spain is as close as I've come. Maybe someday.

We briefly lived in Agordo and skied in the Dolomites for five weeks this winter. Overall the winter season wasn't very good, but we lucked out and were there for the best snow. The Dolomites had great access, amazing views, and tons of non-glaciated backcountry terrain.
