I have some 2mm Dacron cord in now.

A firm finish keeps it from tangling.
Makes good throw line for bear hangs.
With a double wrap it works fine with Line Loc's.
Cord 2mm double wrapped for line loc 3 use

Being larger diameter than the
1mm, it is a bit easier to handle, and tougher for tying off rough objects for
tarp anchors.

Corrected weight of 2mm dacron cord is lighter on 09/15/2011 11:11:22 MDT Print View

Using a scale that goes to 10,000th of the ounce the more accurate weight of the Dacron
2mm cord is .0264 ounces. (1.32 ounces per 50 ft hank.)


To compare

1mm Dacron is .0089 ounces per foot (.445 ounces for a 50 ft hank.)
