I come across BPL members randomly in the forums that are in the area. I'd love it if I could go to a member map (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1010) where I could look up members in my area who might be potential hiking partners....or heck, across the country if I want to fly out and hit the West coast. The map would of course be optional, if you don't want your location on a map, don't sign up.

Thoughts? Has this been brought up before? It'd be great for a NE guy where there isn't a big concentration of BPL members (least that I know of hehe.)

They have that going on Hammock Forums. Really lets you see that most of the hangers live along the AT.
