Its funny that the short is under 2 inches thick weighing in above 15oz. While I have the long which is 2.8inches thick and weighs 16.2 with stuff sack. R value is the same. So why not take the .8oz penalty and take the longer mat?

There seems to be variances here:

My ul7 short is 2.8"thick and 14.3oz.



EDIT: I have two of these mats, and they are both to the above specs.
