FS: 3 bivys on 08/19/2011 11:52:41 MDT Print View

Well, out of the original batch of 30 that I made, only 3 remain. Finished these three over the past week. I am back to work full time, so I will not have much time to make more of these until early October, so for now, this is the last chance if you want one.
More details can be found on my thread in "Gear Deals"

These guys are coming in at 6.4oz-6.5oz in the stuff sack. Fit up to 6'3"
One of the pictures has my buddy in the bivy with my SD Nitro 30 (6'6" bag). For reference, he is about 6'2", 180lbs. There is a Neo-Air in the bivy with him.

Price is $75 shipped and insured by USPS. Please PM me AND reply in this thread, as sometimes BPL's PMs don't go through.

Thanks!

Questions on 08/19/2011 12:52:33 MDT Print View

Hi Roger,

Materials are 1.1 sil for the bottom, 1.1 dwr coated nylon for breathable top, and no-see-um netting. Thread is 100% polyester Gutterman. Double stitched for strength

Jonathan,

When laying flat, the bivy is 94", chest is about 36", tapers down to footbox that is ~30". I too like alot of room in a bivy, as I am a side sleeper and sometimes sleep in a "curled up" position. I've used this design for this entire season and really like it.

Thanks

is there one left on 08/19/2011 14:43:48 MDT Print View

Just wondering if one still remained for sale?
How weather proof are these, capable of keeping a down bag dry in a downpour? Would it be suitable for snow? is there a shell to cover your face for when it is raining?
thanks for answering
Mark

Bivies on 08/19/2011 14:52:39 MDT Print View

Hi Mark, yes one is still available

I always use mine under a tarp, and the DWR finish on the nylon top repels splashes very well. The netting also does a surprisingly good job of deflecting splashes that occasionally get under the tarp.

I use it on top of a groundsheet, and have never used it on snow (although I plan to this winter). I don't see why it wouldn't work

1 of these is left, I won't be at home for week starting Monday, so I really want to get all of them gone before then.
