I moderate another Outdoor Topics Forum and an individual said it was O.K. to cross post this listing. I felt that BPL'ers might be interested in this.
Feathered Friends calls the Rock Wren "a highly versatile sleeping back you can wear while walking around, cooking, or reading in camp." I had the bag custom-made in 1999 with the intent of using it to layer with in colder temps. I had FF build it with 800 fill-power down plus 2 extra ounces of down. This made it way too warm to layer with. Consequently I've used it less than a dozen times since I purchased it.
-Rated 35 degree bag, but the good down and overfill make it warmer than that
-2 layer B-PHAL shell (pre-cursor to their current Event shells). In their words "very, very water resistant yet breatheable."
-Long length bag
-800 fill down, overfill with 2oz extra down
Price $175 (new, non-custom bags sell for $390).
