Funding on 08/12/2011 22:59:16 MDT Print View

As for funding the 8D, looks like 100 yards will be met pretty easy. If not, like I said, I'll fund the remainder. It can be spoken for, after the fabric is ordered.

firebrick red works for me on 08/13/2011 11:55:28 MDT Print View

except the name of that color needs to be more like light hearty red or something, bricks are too heavy... Sorry that was the only one liner I could come up with.

If shipping to oz... on 08/13/2011 20:55:51 MDT Print View

If you are willing to chuck it into a satchel and send it to oz (obviously paid for by me) I would be after 10 yards. This seems like an excellent material to practice on for jackets/ windshirts/ inner tents etc before grabbing 7D or something else.

Thanks again for organising this!

Colors on 08/15/2011 14:04:19 MDT Print View

This mill works with TPX numbers for colors. Here is a tool http://www.perbang.dk/rgb/000000/ that will help convert Hex colors(computer friendly) to TPX. Moniters vary, so check the colors on as many screens as possible.

TPX color on 08/15/2011 14:30:14 MDT Print View

Josh,

Thanks for the tip.

The closest TPX color to the hex #B22222 "firebrick red" I posted a swatch of is called "18-1555 TPX Molten Lava". It matches 98% based on some math and looks pretty close to my eye on my monitor, but is not an exact match.

I hope this is still okay with everyone. It's a very minute change. Please speak up if you'd like a different TPX color and provide a specific counter-proposal.

forest green works for me as well, Zohar you are doing all the leg work so if that is a better color for you I am fine with that.

I'll take 5 yards of the stuff. Finishing up a quilt made with sevenD, so should see how this compares. Whatever color is fine with me. Updated spreadsheet.

Cheers,
Josh

ETA? on 08/18/2011 07:05:58 MDT Print View

Zohar,

EDIT: I've updated my order to 15 yards total on the spread sheet. Another meat-spacer wants to make quilts from it now too. This puts us at 95 yards total.

When are you going to place the order and have you received an estimate on how long afterwards it will reach you? I think forest green works for everyone. -- haven't seen any objections. I've asked a few times now. Hate to be a pest, but I've yet to get an answer to either.

I'm leaving today for a little over a week. Won't have access to internet or email (yay!) Hopefully you won't be trying to collect funds before I get back... I'm good for it, I promise!! ;)
