I think it is natural and healthy for different cultures to have their own slang. Where to even begin with Kiwi slang...?

I agree, Lynn! It's differences that can make traveling a lot of fun. You can introduce us to Kiwiism. Tramping is one that I know of.

My bad irritates me as prey tell (sorry Ben) also does...
But a lot of Americanism is used here in Australia because we hear it every day on TV.
Of course most English speaking countries have their own version as I found out going from the UK to NZ and then here in Australia.
One offensive expression that is used often here is "free gift" .
I surely would hate to pay for one.
Can't stand the Kiwi "score!!!" but we use the potentially equally irritating "you beauty!"...

I don't recall ever hearing that expression in London (3+ years) but sounds like it is popular in the Bible Belt over there.

BTW, I am very fond of NZ. The only country where you get sex after five.
