Sources for down? on 07/13/2011 22:43:02 MDT Print View

What sources for down do you know of? Looking for 700-900 fill. I see some at T-H, but was hoping for another source. Thanks.

I know HammockGear.com sells down at 6.50 an oz, which is a pretty good price. 800+ fill. I think there is a place that will sell for 5.50 an oz somewhere, but I can't remember the site.

This is the link to hammockgear

Down-lite sells 800, 700, and 600 FP down by the pound:

Feathertex is the cheapest I have seen online, but they have no stock until this fall.

Feather Industries, in Toronto, sells in quantities as small as two pounds at a premium to their normal minimum of twenty pounds. They were very nice in pointing me to down-lite (above), which was more economical for an order of one pound. Feather Industries also suggested checking with Pacific Coast Feather, and United Feather & Down. I did not call those last two.
