Has anyone tried the mld bug bivy under a solo or duomid or a low pitched trailstar?

Is a tight setup possible or is this bivy only suitable under tarps?

Do you mean MLD's Serenity?

I think you could pull it off pretty easily under a Trailstar or 'Mid if you're hanging the tarp, or using an inverted 'V' to support it. If you have a pole up the middle, the Serenity geometry gets a bit awkward; it's not designed to allow for hanging from the center.

In a Trailstar, you might be able to make it work along side the center pole, since the Trailstar is so long. The integral hang loops would force the Serenity to bend around the center pole, but I *think* there's enough space to set up a pair of poles to support the Serenity, and still fit it under the tarp.

I believe their Bug Bivy would work well in either shelter.

Ron will tell you for sure.
