Some notes:
- I like this camera for its image quality and wide angle lenses, but it's a porker! :p
- No bug spray...doesn't work for this sweaty b_stard (:p). Long sleeves, hat and bandana do the job.
- Side sleeper...considered going to lighter torso foam, but not yet. Not sure I'd sleep, would prob have to take Benadryl each night.
- Considered lighter pants, but nothing on sale now, and unsure of durability.
- Haven't cut off BIG tags or swapped in lighter line on/in the JRB quilt yet.
- Could purchase lighter Inov-8 trail runners, but have to weight NB out first.
- Considered going w/out briefs, but I think it'd be uncomfy w/ sweat and my stank transferred to quilt at night.
- Trying Weber Cubes for 1st time. Not sure how long they'll last once exposed to air, but stored in tied off Rice Cakes bag w/ pot & messy residue (to keep food bag clean).
- Not sure if tall tea light cup flipped upside down will provide proper stand for Weber cubes.
- I'll likely add a bit of weight in the freezer bag containing a lot of small tools and toiletries.

Please rip it apart folks!

Permethrin all pants, nets, shirts, socks. Picardin all exposed skin. Almost no weight, little cost. We all sweat, but the insects are relentless.

Good idea for preventing ticks. I hear bugs will still bite, then die (doesn't help me), but keeping ticks off with long pants, ankle socks, and trail runners is a good thing. Thanks!

Evening Insulation? I'm assuming it's really warm there in the evening, or do you plan to hike all day, then duck into your quilt?

Also, you listed the Golite shirt twice, is this just a typo? If not, I would nix one of them, doubling up on two of the same shirt doesn't seem necessary.

btw. Nice camera choice, totally worth the weight.

I do not carry evening insulation in the summer as the JRB Sierra Stealth can be worn around camp and in the morning if it's a bit cold until you get going:

There are slightly lighter quilts out there, but this is the biggest reason why I picked this one, because it replaces a down sweater in my overall weight.

In the Spring/Fall I'll add the JRB down sleeves @ 5oz when it gets a bit colder, They mate w/ the quilt:

I do carry an extra set of socks and an extra GoLite shirt in my pack. I find it's nice to sleep in a dry/washed out in a stream, shirt at night. Same for the sock.

Also if I dry the items on the outside of my pack, it's nice to put on the dry socks if my feet start to get hot spots or are soggy.

- Replaced the guy lines (Zpacks 1.25mm spectra) on my bear paw, replaced the zipper pulls, removed the webbing to tie back the screen doors.
