Hey, work is taking me to the Middle East for a few weeks next month, going to be the middle of the summer but was wondering if anyone had experience in the region and could suggest some great SUL hikes/tips/ect.
Mainly going to be in Israel and all in all would prefer not to get shot/ransomed/heatstroke.

Consider doing some sections of the Israel National Trail. I've never been but it sounds interesting. Lots of archaeological sites along the way.

I don't know if I would do desert hiking in summer! It might be more pleasant in the mountains up north. Perhaps speak to locals. Get in touch with Yeti through his blog.

There is a list of trail angels along most of the trail who could also be a good source of info.
