Interesting.
Some of the commenters on the KATU news story are giving these guys grief, but it seems like they pretty much did things right. Realized they were lost, stayed put, made shelter and walked out the next morning. Didn't have a map, but that was said to be inaccurate for the area anyway. No food, but that's hardly a survival issue for a few days. A fire-starting method prob. would have made for a more comfortable night--I bet they'll carry a lighter in their jacket pockets next time.
Good reminder of the value of a cool head when things don't go as planned.
