The following wire 1mm in diameter can lift 450ml. The addition of titanium pot, diametrically slightly distorted. So, can hold firmly to spring back to use than expected.
To be designed to include pre-deformation of the pot.

very cool! i've been using clothes hanger wire, which might work well with your design and a longer spoon. i'll have to try this out.

lol. i made this tonite and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working until i took another look at the picture. the spoon has a notch at the end to catch the other side of the pot. nice. anyway i ended up using 2 paperclips to make the longer handle.

for those who don't wish to cut up their precious spoon, here is a chopstick version.
