I have an idea for a new forum but I don't think it is a very good idea. I'll share it anyway and maybe a better idea will evolve.

You can post but nobody can respond to your post...except you.

Example
5/1/11 Feeling pretty good today. Wonder if anyone cares.
5/2/11 I care, Daryl. I like you and think you are a good person. Not bad looking either.
5/3/11 Thanks for the comment.
5/4/11 Got some mail today. Nothing important, only bills.

Priceless entries like this would then be preserved for posterity. Hundreds of years from now they may be seen as "jewels from the past".

Where's the dislike button?

One forum I've frequented has an "Ignore Member" option.
Once selected, all posts from that member are stripped from what you see.

Then no one would ever see my posts!

Could the "ignore member" button allow the, now ignored, member a second chance of posting something that would be seen by the person who pushed the "ignore member" button?

Could work for good or bad. Ignored member might improve his/her game and say something that was actually of interest.......or it could simply turn into one last chance for the ignored member to tell the button pusher what he/she thought of him/her.
