MLD site? on 05/10/2011 17:23:20 MDT Print View

Does anyone know why it seems the MLD site isn't coming up...or is it just my computer?

I think this problem has come up before. Try clearing out your web browser's history, cache and cookies. Then close it down, reopen, and try the site again.

other sites too on 05/10/2011 19:52:19 MDT Print View

I can get MLD, but I couldn't get this site or JRB all weekend. I still can't get JRB, in fact I called a friend and asked them to try JRB and they couldn't get it to come up either.

Sorry, but I just got www.jacksrbetter.com to come up with no problem.

An explanation, possibly... on 05/11/2011 11:38:55 MDT Print View

I received this in Ryan Jordan's electronics newsletter this morning:

"The only disasters that occurred was that backpackinglight.com's server
had a catastrophic failure in a power supply and the ryanjordan.com
website got infected with an adbot virus that may have came in via a sidedoor
through a weak plugin."

I don't know whether that explains the Jacks R Better and/or MLD outages, but it definitely explains BPL's.

MLD's Site on 05/11/2011 11:43:34 MDT Print View

Seems to be working for me.

MLD's site has always been perennially slow, it seems. Maybe Ron's just giving us needed lessons in patience for while we wait for our gear.... ;)
