New website for Kooka Bay! on 04/29/2011 14:51:09 MDT Print View

Woo hoo! It looks like Bender is working on a new website!

It doesn't have stats or prices for the insulated mats yet, but there's a home for them... Here's hoping ge gets it all up soon!
[on edit] By the way, it's still www.Kookabay.com.

I will be photographing the insulated airmats and adding more info for every category. I have also been planning on a Kooka Bay wristband giveaway :) The silicone wristbands are a multi-use piece of gear: more on that to come!

We were just discussing the synthetic fill mats in another thread... Mind posting the current stats/cost of some ofthe common sizes?

That's a huge improvement!

If I may give some advise, you might want to give the size and weight of your products not just in inch and ounce, but also in cm and gram. That way your site becomes a lot friendlier to possible European customers (like me).

That's rediculous... on 04/29/2011 17:52:38 MDT Print View

You Europeans and your metric system... Where math is easy and units are based off something tangible. That's ridiculous! Where's the fun and excitement? Just stick to the basics, Bender. List everything in cubits, fathoms, leagues, and board feet.

You Europeans and your metric system.

One pretty important factor in business is lowering the barrier for potential customers. That argues in favor of listing product specs in both imperial and SI units.

Sorry if I wasn't quite clear... I was being entirely facetious. I know inflection often gets lost in forums like this, but I thought the obscure units of measure I listed were a dead give-away.

Hike your own hike... However you measure it.

inches and ounces on 04/29/2011 21:07:13 MDT Print View

Made in America, baby! If you don't like ounces and inches, go watch the royal wedding. Ever heard someone ask you "How many centimeters?" (yes, another attempt at being fun today. Don't get upset)

Nice job, Bender.

Humble suggestion: make the font a bit smaller and the page a bit narrower for versatility.
