Yes - one of my all time favorites as well. Just finished reading (I believe the 3rd time in the last 30 years) the book the movie was based on "Mountain Man" by Vardis Fisher. Also a good book.

I just watched "Alone in the Wilderness part II" and
enjoyed it even more than the first.

Three girls escape across 1,200 miles of Australia, from forced training schools, to get home. True story from the 1930's. I think about it when the going gets tough....
