Ti tent stakes are $1.50 each at myDIYgear.com with free shipping on the stakes. Randy Smith AKA Papa Smurf at Hammock Forums is the seller, says he has 2400 of them. He stocks 3 lengths in each of 3 or 4 diameters so there are ten choices.I have no connection to him. My very first order is pending.
Thanks, just picked up 10.
The bottoms look flat. Do most ti stakes have flat bottoms?
Details Here.
Hi, PapaSmurf here.Yes, these do have flat bottoms.I've seen them offered flat, tapered & pointy.

Thanks I just ordered some too. Good deal
Why wouldn't you want to have the bottom pointed enough that they will penetrate hard soil?--B.G.--
I'm sure he could but it would cost us the end user more. I'm glad they are what they are....great price for some lightweight stakes. I'm eyeing those 3.1 gram ones
I'll taper a few tonight and see if it makes much of a difference. If so, I'll taper the rest.
Some people like the bottom rounded so that it does not chew a hole in a stake bag. I have some that are sliced off on the bottom, leaving a bottom edge. The best ones have a slightly rounded point. That gives a good compromise of being able to penetrate hard soil, yet it doesn't really chew up the stake bag.--B.G.--
So. I'll round a few also.
Get them about as sharp as the business end of a ballpoint pen. Sharp enough to be pushed into hard soil, but not sharp enough to puncture your skin if it were pushed in.--B.G.--
Picked up a set of the 1/8" dia 6" L ones...we'll see how they workI considered the slightly smaller diameter ones, but figured the slight increase in weight was worth a little better bend resistance.

Everyone who placed an order today received Ti Stakes with rounded bottoms.I have added an additional option to purchase these stakes with rounded bottoms for $1.75 each with free shipping. Thanks for all your feedback.
Can someone recommend which diameter to buy? Right now I'm using REI Tri-Stakes and those have worked out pretty well for me, so I'm looking for similar strength stakes at lighter weight.
All of my standard ones are 1/8 inch in diameter.--B.G.--
I picked up 8
Ordered 4 of the 6 inch .118. Thanks for the link!
I received my stakes today. They look good, can't wait to get them in the ground
